AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin recreation center is grappling with thousands of dollars' worth of stolen property after thieves targeted the building early Sunday. Numerous bikes were stolen from the Lorraine "Grandma" Camacho Activity Center Sunday morning, the recreation center shared in a Monday Instagram post. The bikes taken were used in the center's youth cycling education programs year-round. A spokesperson for the Austin Parks and Recreation Department confirmed 16 bikes were stolen during the incident, amounting to approximately $25,000 in lost property. The Austin Police Department confirmed officers are investigating the theft but added the department doesn't have any suspect
