The Genius Wrap Fans Call ‘Ridiculously Good’

“Babe, let’s get pizza. Meh, I’ll jus do a salad. OR….??” was the reaction the internet had upon discovering the Caesaroni Wrap—aka the Pepperoni Pizza Caesar Wrap—a genius hybrid that’s been making the rounds online. It's the kind of recipe that makes you pause mid-scroll, suddenly aware that you could have been combining your two favorite foods in a totally ingenious way. “You mean to tell me we could have been having pizza burritos this whole time!?!” one Instagram commenter said. Honestly, what have we all been doing with our lives?

The wrap that has been breaking the internet comes from award-winning food blogger, Instagrammer, and Netflix Crazy Delicious finalist Chris Collins (@dontgobaconmyheart_), who recently shared the recipe after spotting a similar version from one of our favorite food creators, @grilledcheesesocial. “You know I’m always about a decade late to food trends and never actually end up trying them, but pizza + Caesar salad!? Be still my beating heart,” he says in his post. He confessed he’d never been more skeptical yet so pleasantly surprised by a recipe, adding, “Spoiler – they’re delish ?.”

To make the wrap, you'll need 2 large flour tortillas, pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, romaine lettuce, croutons, shaved Parmesan and Caesar dressing.

How to Make the Viral Caesaroni Wrap

Spread 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on your flour tortillas then sprinkle on 1 cup of shredded mozzarella and 16 slices of pepperoni. Pop the tortillas on a baking sheet and bake in a 350° oven for 4 to 5 minutes—just until the cheese melts. A tip from Chris: Don’t overbake them or the tortillas will crisp up too much, making them a nightmare to roll.

While the pizza base is warming up, toss together a large head of chopped romaine, 3/4 cup of croutons, 1 ounce of shaved Parmesan, and between 1/3 to 1/2 cup of Caesar dressing (depending on how saucy you like it). Chris notes that store-bought dressing and croutons are totally fine—he used Mediterranean herb croutons for a little extra oomph—but mentions his Chicken Caesar Pasta Salad recipe if you’re feeling ambitious and want to go the homemade route.

Once your cheesy pepperoni-topped tortillas are out of the oven, pile on that Caesar salad and get to rolling. Chris recommends cutting the wraps in half and pinching the ends as you eat to prevent salad spillage (the struggle is real). This recipe makes a seriously hefty salad, so don’t be shy—really stuff those wraps, save some for later or share with a friend (if you're feeling generous).

It’s no surprise this recipe is blowing up online. It hits all the cravings in one easy-to-make lunch: it's cheesy, creamy, crunchy, salty and fresh. And let’s not pretend Chris’s delivery doesn’t help the Caesaroni cause. His dreamy British accent and kind smile could probably sell me on boiled cabbage, but with a recipe this easy and delicious, it’s enough for me to never have to choose between pizza and salad ever again.
