It only took 19 years, but the Carolina Hurricanes have finally won a Conference Final game again.
The Hurricanes forced a Game 5 with a 3-0 win against the Florida Panthers on Monday night.
Logan Stankoven, the central piece of the deadline-day Mikko Rantanen, scored the game-winning goal with a blocker-side snipe on Sergei Bobrovsky off the rush. It was the rookie’s fifth goal and eighth point this post-season.
Sebastian Aho scored an empty-net goal with just over two minutes remaining to seal the win for the Hurricanes.
