CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The Charlotte Fire Department says a juvenile has been arrested in connection with a fire that shut down a local Harris Teeter store.
Around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, crews were called to the store on Davis Lake Parkway. Soon after, a third alarm was struck, calling additional crews to help.

It took ninety firefighters about an hour to control the fire, which caused $500,000 in damages. Fire officials later confirmed that the fire was intentionally set.
On Friday, May 16, CFD announced that a juvenile suspect had been arrested. Due to the suspect's age, their name will not be released. It is unclear what charges are being filed.
This comes after a 12-year-old boy is accused of starting a fire in a Lancaster Walmart on May 4.
Harris Teeter says it expects the store to reopen on Monday. The following statement was sent to Queen City News:
