Deion Sanders has been in the limelight for the better part of four decades, but football fans are poised to get an unprecedented look at the man behind the celebrity in a new Netflix docu-series coming out next year.
“Prime Time” will take an in-depth look at one of the sports industry’s “most electrifying and polarizing figures, exploring his evolution from a two-sport pro phenom to a culture-defining coach and media personality,” according to an announcement this week.

The premise distinguishes it from another series, called “Coach Prime,” which follows Sanders’ career at the helm of football programs at Jackson State University in Mississippi and the University of Colorado. Three seasons of that show are currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
“It means so much to finally be able to tell my unfiltered story, my TRUTH. I was PRIME TIME, then I dropped the TIME and went by PRIME, and now I’m in the third quarter of my life and they call me COACH PRIME. Y’all knew a part of me each step of the way, but you never knew DEION,” Sanders said in a statement. “I’m excited to share that with you all — the highs and lows, the truths and tragedies, and everything in between.”
“Prime Time” is currently in production and will air as three individual, 60-minute episodes sometime in 2026.
