Lottery chiefs often have a very hard time finding the person with the winning ticket after the numbers are drawn.

There are many occasions when they are sent into a mad hunt trying to locate the slip holder, and that’s before the cash is even given out.

Americans could have untold reasons for not coming forward, like maybe they didn’t check the winning numbers, but it’s costing them millions a year in unearned winnings.

And the same story is happening right now.

AZ Central reports that someone who played in the Arizona Lottery managed to beat the odds.

The ticket was purchased on May 14 in Littlefield near the state lines of Nevada and Utah.

The ticket gave the winner a $50,000 prize, but their gamble paid off big time and tripled their win.

By going with the Power Play, the winnings turned into $150,000, but the fortunate Arizonan has not come forward yet.

While the player still has plenty of time, they are still urged to come forward as quickly as possible.

If they do not show themselves by the deadline, the cash will slip through their fingers.

This year has been big for the Arizona Lottery, with millions having already been given out.

In January, a Mega Millions player walked away with $112 million, and others followed.

Someone grabbed a $2.9 million prize from The Pick, a $1.6 million Triple Twist ticket, another $1 million in The Pick, a $2 million Powerball ticket, and a $2 million The Pick ticket.

    SEARCHING HIGH AND LOW

The US Sun also reported on another lottery hunt happening right now in West Virginia.

Chiefs are hunting for a player who bought a ticket in the popular casino Mardi Gras Casino located in Cross Lanes in Charleston.

This time, there’s even more money at stake, $1 million to be exact.

Purchased on May 10, the ticket matched all five of the numbers but not the Powerball.
