Andie MacDowell made a memorable entrance at the Cannes Film Festival, stepping onto the red carpet for the Dossier 137 premiere in a striking silver slip dress that perfectly captured her signature blend of elegance and confidence. The acclaimed actress and L'Oréal Paris ambassador blew kisses to the crowd as she walked the famed red carpet.
The 67-year-old star chose a sophisticated, lingerie-inspired silver satin slip dress by Alberta Ferretti, featuring delicate black lace detailing. The silver dress matched the silver tones in the actresses famed locks.
MacDowell's hair has become the star's signature look after she stopped dyeing her hair, a move her managers initially advised against. "I think you're wrong, and I'm going to be more powerful if I embrace where I am right now," MacDowell told Vogue, adding, "It's time because in two years I'm going to be 65. If I don't do it now, I won't have the chance to be salt and pepper. I always wanted to be salt and pepper!"

"When I turned 40, it was an ugly time for women in Hollywood. Women were basically disposable at 40," she recounted in an interview with NewBeauty, while also acknowledging, "But I do feel like that's changing... things have changed a lot, and for the better.” Her continued success and visibility, including her long-standing relationship with L'Oréal (since 1986), for whom she champions the "Because You're Worth It" message, is powerful proof of that shift and her role in it.
The actress has also been candid about her personal journey with aging. In a 2022 interview, MacDowell spoke to PEOPLE about her gray hair, "I felt that I would be happier. And I am happier. I really like it. I'm 64, and this is the time of my life."
