DRIVERS can now cash in on a hefty rebate if they are ready to turn their trucks into bulletproof beasts.
A new promotion is offering $10,000 off an armoring package that includes ballistic glass, steel reinforcements, and other major upgrades.
The deal comes from Miami Armored, a company in Florida that specializes in converting regular vehicles into security-enhanced rides.
Anyone with a pickup truck built between 2020 and 2025 can cash in on the offer.
But there’s a catch: the truck has to be in good condition and have fewer than 50,000 miles on the clock.
Instead of sourcing the truck for you, the company is giving a massive discount if you bring your own.
Only certain trucks qualify for the armor setup included in the rebate program.
So far, Miami Armored offers BR4 protection for popular models like the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
It also covers both light and heavy-duty versions of those trucks.
Toyota’s Tacoma and Tundra are eligible too, along with the Hilux, in areas where it’s sold.
The BR4 level isn’t military-grade, but it’s no joke either.
According to Miami Armored, it protects against handgun rounds up to .44 caliber.
The protection includes ballistic glass for all windows and hardened steel in the doors and body.
Other reinforcements include armor around the fuel tank and relocation of the battery and engine computer.
While Miami Armored hasn’t revealed the full cost, similar BR4 kits run about $50,000 from other companies.
Armormax, a rival company, charges around that much for a BR4 upgrade on a Toyota Land Cruiser.
What you need to qualify for the $10k rebate:
Vehicle Model: Pickup truck built between 2020 and 2025 Mileage: Must have fewer than 50,000 miles Condition: Truck must be in good condition Armor Package: Only BR4-level armor qualifies for the rebate Your Truck: You need to bring your own truck – the rebate does not apply if Miami Armored sources the vehicle for youThe $10,000 rebate does not apply to higher armor levels or other vehicle types.
But the company does offer more extreme builds if you’re willing to pay.
Other options include BR2 armor, which can block 9mm pistol rounds, all the way up to BR7 — tough enough to stop armor-piercing 7.62 rounds.
If you want extra protection and already own a qualifying pickup, the rebate could slash the steep price tag.
The shop also kits out vans, SUVs, sedans and even cash trucks with different armor levels.
While only trucks qualify for the rebate, Miami Armored says it has protection options for nearly any ride.
For drivers who want serious peace of mind behind the wheel, this deal could bring high-end security at a more affordable price.
