This recipe was shared by content creator Karli (@cookiesfordaaays) and I can't wait to give it a try! But before we get into that, let’s talk about the classic that inspired it: Christmas Cracker Toffee.

If you’ve never had Christmas Cracker Toffee (sometimes called Christmas Crack), you're missing out. This stuff is ridiculously easy to make and requires just a handful of ingredients. It’s that perfect blend of salty, sweet, crunchy and gooey all in one bite.

Christmas Cracker Toffee starts with a base of saltine crackers. A buttery, caramelized toffee mixture is poured over the crackers and everything gets baked until bubbly, then topped with melted chocolate. Once it sets, you break it into pieces, and suddenly you have this rich, sweet and salty toffee bark that’s impossible to stop eating. Some people add nuts, sea salt or festive sprinkles, but the basic version is already incredible.

But who says this treat has to stay in December?

This Cadbury Cracker Toffee is the Easter version of this beloved treat, featuring Cadbury Mini Eggs instead of classic chocolate. The result is a crunchy, chocolaty pastel dream that’s perfect for celebrating spring.

You can grab the full recipe on Karli's site, but you'll need saltine crackers, unsalted butter, brown sugar, chocolate chips and mini Cadbury Eggs.

Start by preheating your oven to 350°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spray lightly with nonstick spray. Arrange the saltines in a single layer, covering the entire pan.

In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once it reaches a rolling boil, let it cook for 3 minutes without stirring. Pour the caramelly goodness evenly over the saltines, spreading it quickly with a spatula. Pop the tray in the oven and bake for five minutes, or until the toffee is bubbly.

Once it's done, remove it from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Let them sit for a minute to melt, then spread evenly with a spatula. While the chocolate is still warm, scatter crushed mini Cadbury Eggs over the melted chocolate. If you’re using sprinkles or sea salt, now’s the time to add them.

Let the treat cool to room temperature, then transfer it to the fridge to chill for about an hour, or until completely set. Once hardened, break the treat into pieces and serve!

This Cadbury Cracker Toffee is everything you love about the Christmas version, but with a fun, festive Easter twist. The crunch of the toffee, the smoothness of the chocolate and the bursts of mini Cadbury Eggs make this the perfect springtime dessert.

I know my kids are going to love this one and I have a feeling it might just become a new favorite Easter tradition!
