THE Philadelphia Eagles just can’t get enough good news two months after their Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs in February.
Eagles’ star quarterback Jalen Hurts will be getting another wide receiver for the upcoming NFL season.
On Thursday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Eagles signed wide receiver Terrace Marshall to a one-year contract.
The former second-round pick is coming off a season in which he spent time on the San Francisco 49ers’ practice squad before joining the Las Vegas Raiders in October.
The 24-year-old recorded three catches for 41 yards in seven appearances for Sin City.
Despite the lack of production in 2024, Eagles fans believe that they struck gold in adding the speedy former No. 59 pick out of LSU in Marshall.
“Sneaky good signing by Howie! Former 2nd round pick with high upside and virtually no risk,” one commented.
“He’s going to have a better year with the Eagles than the others,” another wrote.
“That’s a great signing good job Eagles,” a third added.
Marshall entered the NFL in 2021 and spent the first three seasons with the Carolina Panthers.
He posted 64 receptions for 767 yards with just one touchdown during his tenure.
Marshall’s best season came in 2022 when he hauled in 28 catches for 490 yards and the lone touchdown in 2022.
The Panthers released him after training camp last off-season.
Marshall was part of the 49ers and Raiders organizations last season.
He visited the Tennesee Titans late last month but ultimately decided to join the reigning champion Eagles.
The Eagles have been known to sign or trade for players who were highly touted prospects when they entered the league but didn’t live up to their draft expectations.
