Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra have been welcoming in the New Year with an annual Hootenanny for the past 30 years.
And this year will be no exception as the presenter and musician is joined by a selections of stars old and new on BBC Two to see in 2025.
Holland will have music and chat from the likes of The Boomtown Rats, CMAT and Paul Carrack, while a celebrity audience offers predictions and resolutions for the coming year.
The show promises to bring the party atmosphere into viewers’ homes on New Year’s Eve with a countdown to midnight and a traditional rendition of “Auld Lang Syne”

The show lasts for just over two hours finishing at 1.40am on Wednesday 1 January, 2025.
Viewers wanting to watch it on catch-up can stream it on BBC iPlayer shortly after it airs.
Who are the guests and performers on Jools’ Annual Hootenanny?
As usual, Jools Holland has a vast array of guests in the studio to help see in the New Year. There is always a sprinkling of celebrities in the audience as well as a mix of legends and brand-new stars and artists who have had huge success in 2024 performing.

The Irish rock band, led by Bob Geldof, will be adding a Celtic flavour to celebrations.
Since reforming in 2013, they have released the album Citizens of Boomtown but are best known for hits such as “I Don’t Like Mondays” and “Rat Trap”.
CMAT
CMAT will be joining Jools for New year. (Photo: Rick Kern/Getty)Singer/ songwriter Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, known professionally as CMAT, also hails from Ireland.
The 28-year-old released the award-winning album If My Wife New I’d Be Dead in 2022 and has had hits with “I Wanna Be A Cowboy, Baby!” and “I Don’t Really Care For You”

Jade Thirlwall first found fame in the girl group Little Mix, after performing on The X factor UK.
She released her debut single “Angel of My Dreams” in July this year, reaching number seven in the UK charts.
Jungle

Among their biggest hits so far have been: “Back on 74”, “Busy Earnin'” and “Let’s Go Back”.

Kathy Sledge is best known and the youngest and founding member of the US R&B group Sister Sledge.
Performing as a group with her sisters, they had a number of big hits including “We Are Family” and “He’s The Greatest Dancer”.
She embarked on a solo career in 1989, achieving chart success with “Take Me Back to Love Again”.
Marc Almond
Marc Almond will be performing on New Year’s Eve (Photo: Lorne Thomson/Redferns/Getty)Marc Almond rose to fame in the new wave band Soft Cell in the 80s, having chart success with tracks such as “Tainted Love” and “Say Hello, Wave Goodbye”.
As a solo artist, he has won an Ivor Novello Award and had a number one in 1989 for a duet with Gene Pitney on the single “Something’s Gotten Hold of My Heart”.

British singer, songwriter and musician Paul Carrack has had a long and successful career in a number of bands and as a solo artist.
The 73-year-old has performed with the bands Ace, Squeeze, Mike + The Mechanic and Roxy Music and released 19 albums as a solo artist.
His hits include “Silent Running”, “Over My Shoulder” and “The Living Years”.
Roger Taylor of Queen
Roger Taylor of Queen is among the guests at the Hootenanny. (Photo: Scott Legato/Getty)Roger Taylor is the drummer and backing vocalist for the rock band Queen.
As a songwriter, the 75-year-old is behind hits such as “These Are the Days of Our Lives”, “Innuendo” and “Under Pressure”, “Radio Ga Ga” and “A Kind of Magic”.

R&B and soul singer Ruby Tuner has worked as a solo artist, session and backing singer and as a songwriter with hits including “I’d Rather Go Blind” and “It’s Gonna Be Alright”.
She has been a regular guest on Jools’ Annual Hootenanny, performing every year since 2007.
Toby Lee
Toby Lee will be joining Jools to see in the New Year. (Photo: C Brandon/Redferns/Getty)Toby Lee is only 19-years-old but already has a huge social media following and sponsorship from Gibson Guitars.
He became a global sensation after playing guitar at B.B. King’s Blues Club in 2015, when he was ten years old.
Since then, he has appeared as Zack in School Of Rock at the New London Theatre and played with Joe Bonamassa at the Royal Albert Hall.
The Dead South
The Death South band will be performing at the Hootnenanny (Photo: Medios y Media/Getty)The Dead South is folk/bluegrass group from Canada, who have referred to themselves as “Mumford and Sons’ evil twins”.
They have released four albums and had a major hit with the track “In Hell I’ll be In Good Company”.
