SKIP Bayless has ripped the Pittsburgh Steelers for the decision to sign Aaron Rodgers.
The Steelers signed the 41-year-old Rodgers to a one-year, $13.6 million deal after a couple of months of uncertainty at quarterback.
Rodgers penned a one-year deal with the Steelers worth up to $19.5 million.
The four-time NFL MVP has been linked with Mike Tomlin‘s squad since being cut by the New York Jets in March.
Bayless reacted to the announcement and posted a five-minute, 15-second clip on X.
During the rant, he blasted the Steelers and Rodgers, whom he called a “washed-up, 41-year-old finger-pointing, blame-deflecting diva.”
“He was washed his last three years in Green Bay,” the former ESPN and FS1 star Bayless said.
“Go look at the numbers of his last three playoff games in Green Bay … I told the Jets he was washed.”
Bayless couldn’t believe that the Steelers “actually did it” in signing Rodgers and thinks the 20-year veteran will “steal from the Steelers.”
“What has become of the Pittsburgh Steelers?” he added.
“I don’t hate them anymore, I pity them.”
Bayless even claimed the Steelers would have been better off starting veteran backup Mason Rudolph at quarterback in Week 1.
“[The Steelers] are now my candidate to plunge, they’re now starting to look like the odds on favorite… for the first pick in the draft next year,” he said.
The Steelers are coming off a 10-7 season in which they lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the Wild Card playoff round.
They were led by quarterbacks Justin Fields and Russell Wilson, both of whom left to join other teams in free agency.
Rodgers led the Jets to a disappointing 5-12 record last season.
He posted 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns with 11 interceptions.

He’ll hope to win a playoff game for the first time since January of 2021, when he was a Green Bay Packer.
Rodgers will go on the road to take on his former Jets team in Week 1 of the 2025 regular season.
He’ll then face his former Packers team on Sunday Night Football in Week 8 in Pittsburgh.
