Hugh Bonneville is back on our screens for a second round of The Gold as the hunt continues for the second half of the gold from the Brink's-Mat robbery.
Alongside Bonneville, who reprises his role as DCS Brian Boyce, other returning stars include Charlotte Spencer and Emun Elliott as Nicki Jennings and Tony Brightwell, while Jack Lowden and Tom Cullen are back as real-life figures Kenneth Noye and John Palmer.
Meanwhile, as some stars like Sean Harris and Daniel Ings have left the show, some new additions have joined the fray, including Joshua McGuire and Tom Hughes.
They play new characters who enter the gold's orbit, as the investigation and global manhunt to find those profiting from its sale runs into the 1990s.

Hugh Bonneville plays Brian Boyce
Who is Brian Boyce? Brian Boyce is an officer who was brought over from counter-terrorism to lead the investigation into the robbery.
Bonneville previously said of his character: “Boyce can be seen as a benign sometimes irritated figure, rolling his eyes at his two protégés, Jennings and Brightwell.
“His attitude changes, though, as he acknowledges in his own taciturn way that they are good at their jobs.”
Where have I seen Hugh Bonneville? Bonneville is best known for his roles as Lord Grantham on Downton Abbey, Ian Fletcher on Twenty Twelve and W1A, and Mr Brown in the Paddington films. He has also appeared in films such as Notting Hill, Iris, The Monuments Men, Viceroy's House and I Came By, and series such as The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, Douglas is Cancelled and The Agency.
Emun Elliott plays Tony Brightwell
Who is Tony Brightwell? Tony Brightwell is a detective with the Flying Squad in the Met Police who has a leading role in the investigation into the robbery.
Where have I seen Emun Elliott? Elliott has appeared in major films such as The King's Man, Old, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Filth and Prometheus, while he has also appeared in series such as The Paradise, Game of Thrones, Trust Me, Guilt, The Rig and Sexy Beast.
Charlotte Spencer plays Nicki Jennings
Who is Nicki Jennings? Nicki Jennings is a detective with the Flying Squad in the Met Police who has a leading role in the investigation into the robbery.
Where have I seen Charlotte Spencer? Spencer is known for appearing in series such as Sanditon, Ted Lasso, Line of Duty, Baghdad Central and Death in Paradise, as well as films including Cinderella and The Duke.
Jack Lowden plays Kenneth Noye
Who is Kenneth Noye? Kenneth Noye is a businessman who was also secretly involved in the criminal underground, and was approached by Micky McAvoy following the robbery, asking him how they can dispose of the bullion and cash in. He was convicted at the end of the first season for his part in dealing with the gold.
Where have I seen Jack Lowden? Lowden had a leading role in the BBC's War and Peace, and has since appeared in Small Axe, Mary Queen of Scots, Stephen Merchant's Fighting with My Family and The Rings of Power. He also had a pivotal role in Christopher Nolan's 2017 epic Dunkirk and currently stars in Slow Horses opposite Gary Oldman.
Tom Cullen plays John Palmer
Who is John Palmer? John Palmer is a gold merchant in Bristol who Noye enlisted to disguise the gold and sell it into the market. In the second season he is now extremely wealthy and living in Tenerife.
Where have I seen Tom Cullen? Cullen is known for appearing in series such as Downton Abbey, Black Mirror, Knightfall, Becoming Elizabeth, Invasion, Insomnia and The Way, as well as films including Barbarians and 100 Streets.
Stefanie Martini plays Marnie Palmer
Who is Marnie Palmer? Marnie is John's wife.
Where have I seen Stefanie Martini? Martini has previously appeared in series such as The Last Kingdom, Prime Suspect 1973 and Endeavour.
Sam Spruell plays Charlie Miller
Who is Charlie Miller? Charlie is a London-based criminal who was involved in the Brink’s-Mat robbery, and at the start of the second season he is in possession of half the gold.

Stephen Campbell Moore plays Tom Lundy

Who is Douglas Baxter? Douglas Baxter is an Isle of Man financial advisor who went to Cambridge and who is approached by Charlie Miller to launder the money from the gold.

Joshua Samuels plays Jerren
Who is Jerren? Jerren is a character in league was Palmer in Tenerife.

Tom Hughes plays Logan Campbell
Who is Logan Campbell? Logan has been laundering money for a South American drug cartel in the Caribbean when he is brought in to help launder the proceeds from the gold.
