Cheetos appears to be gearing up for a mysterious—and potentially menacing—new release, based on a teasy—and vaguely threatening—message posted to their social media.
In a colorful graphic with a variety of shapes resembling the texture of a Cheeto that featured a notification pop-up, the brand wrote, "Keep an eye out for any uniquely shaped Cheetos you find. Something big is taking shape.”
"consider yourself warned," they added in the caption of the notice posted on Instagram on Thursday, June 5, which further suggested that all would be revealed come Friday, June 6.

"I've been preparing my whole life for this. My fingers have been permanently stained orange. I'm ready," one commenter declared with anticipation, seemingly unbothered about the lack of release information.
"I CANT WAIT," another agreed emphatically.
"what could this mean cheetos," somebody else begged to know, with another demanding, "Tell me right now."
"Sweet Carolina Reaper Cheetos please," one suggestion was posed, as another bizarrly wondered, "could it be... a donut cheeto " Though, to their credit, Friday isNational Donut Day.
"Dill pickle hot Cheetos would be pretty big," someone else hedged, while another simply mourned, "I miss the ghosts pepper puffs ?."
"TWIST ARE COMING BACK!?!" another guessed enthusiastically, but, as Cheetos replied, "only time will tell ?."
