The French Open Women’s Singles Final will take place this Saturday, and there will be a new champion.
Iga Swiatek has dominated in Roland Garros recently, but this final will be contested between Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff.
Sabalenka handed Swiatek only her third-ever defeat in Paris in the semi-finals to claim a spot in the finale.
There she will take on American Gauff, who overcame home favourite Lois Boisson in straight sets

The 2025 French Open Women’s Singles Final will take place on Saturday, June 7.
The exact start time for the final will be confirmed in due course, but it is expected to begin at 2pm UK time.
It will be held at the Court Philippe-Chartier.

Gauff had to deal with a passionate home crowd as well as Boisson in her semi-final, and she revealed an interesting coping technique after the win.
She said: “This is my first time playing a French player here. I was mentally prepared that it was to be 99% for her so I was trying to block it out.
“When you were saying her name, I was saying my name to myself just to psyche myself.”
But Gauff enjoyed the battle with Boisson.
She said: “Lois is an incredible player and for her to have the tournament she’s had, she’s shown she’s one of the best players in the world.
“I hope we have many more battles in the future, especially here, Today ,it was just my day.”
