Todd Chrisley, Julie Chrisley and their children have been soaking in family time after their long-awaited reunion.
“Oh my gosh, it has been amazing. It doesn’t feel real,” daughter Savannah, 27, told People in an interview published on Friday, May 30. “We were going to bed last night. We’re like, ‘Is this real?’ And then, I wake up this morning, and my mom’s walking into my bedroom, and I’m like, it’s absolutely insane.”
She added, “We are just so grateful and ready to kind of start getting back to normal life, obviously, the best we can. Everything’s a whirlwind right now, and it’s kind of hard to live a normal life with how things are right now, but we’ll get there.”
Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were both released from federal prison on Wednesday, May 28, after receiving presidential pardons following respective sentences after being convicted of fraud. Todd and Julie maintained their innocence during a trial and an appeal hearing.

Savannah picked up Todd from the Florida prison where he was incarcerated, while one of her brothers went to retrieve Julie from the Kentucky facility where she had been held. (In addition to Savannah, the Chrisley Knows Best couple shares sons Chase and Grayson and daughter Chloe, who is the biological child of Todd’s son Kyle. He is also father of daughter Lindsie from a prior relationship.)
“I do know that they’re doing great,” Savannah gushed to People about her parents. “It’s obviously an adjustment. I think they’re kind of just in shock right now. It’s just a big adjustment when you’re in prison for two and a half years, and then you go back to so-called normal life. I can’t imagine. I just think it’s a lot for them, but they’re enjoying it.”
Savannah further mentioned that Todd and Julie are now focused on “spending time” with their children.

“Obviously, when they’re ready to talk about their feelings and emotions, I know that they will articulate it well, like they always do,” she added to the outlet, revealing that they want to give back to other inmates. “I know that they just have a heart now. They have a heart for these men, women [who] are in prison and who they feel like they’ve left behind.”
Savannah has shared a glimpse of her family reunion on social media, in which she noted that Todd got “jacked” in the prison gym. Mom Julie, meanwhile, was seen in Fox News Digital photographs earlier this week with her naturally brown-and-gray hair.
“I mean, my mother’s an angel and she’s still a beautiful woman. Her hair’s darker now. I went, ‘Momma, we gotta [go] back platinum blonde,’” Chase, 28, told Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, May 28. “And she was like, ‘I’m not doing that.’”
