Those homeowners interested in having that kind of access can get it through the Gracious Tiny House Park, per Choose Tiny.

It rests along the Rim Canal on Lake Okeechobee in Florida, about a two-hour drive southwest of Orlando.

The family-owned tiny home village is advertised as “delightfully quiet,” and lots are a “slice of heaven” in the adult community.

Currently, there are about 21 sites available in the Gracious Tiny House Park, which stretches about 1.5 acres.

At least 10 of those are on the waterfront, and the average size for each runs around 1,500 square feet.

A nature trail also extends around the lake for a strictly natural setting, but the catch is that residents must bring their own tiny home with them.

Gracious Tiny House Park doesn’t offer structures to move into, only lots.

Everything from RVs and motorhomes, vans, and tiny home structures on wheels is accepted.

Those who already have a unit they can bring must be no more than 40 feet in length.

The village also provides all hookups required.

    ALL INCLUSIVE

This includes water, sewer, and 30/50 amp electric.

Each of those services, on top of trash, lawn care, wifi, and cable, is included in the lot rent price of $375 monthly.

Although Gracious Tiny House Park said it does “encourage individual landscaping around your lot.”

There’s also a space for one car, a community garden area, boat access and docking, a walking and biking path, and security cameras.

    What is a tiny home?

Technically, a tiny home is any house measuring under 400 square feet.

Many tiny homes are built on trailers so they can be towed anywhere, and some are converted from old school buses or vans.

Each state has its own rules about tiny homes, but, generally, they are not subject to the same taxes as regular homes.

However, Alaska, Iowa, Louisiana, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Wisconsin, and West Virginia have made tiny homes illegal as permanent dwellings.

“We are a friendly community; casual, simple, and comfortable,” Gracious Tiny House Park noted.

    RULES TO FOLLOW

As far as restrictions go, the biggest is keeping it adults only.

According to Gracious Tiny House Park’s advertisement with Choose Tiny, no children are allowed.

Additionally, cats are acceptable, and so are smaller dogs, but pit bulls are specifically not admitted.

Homeowners who want to start the process can start with a phone interview.

After that, there’s a background check, application, and security deposit required.

Other similar communities are starting to appear nationwide with affordable rent prices for tiny homeowners.

A “one-of-a-kind” village in nearby Tallahassee has only $595 rent costs, and residents can even get a private deck and gated access.

In Utah, there’s also a “unique” community with rent between $250 and $500 with full-sized appliances included.
