JERSEY Shore fans were upset and confused during the show’s new season premiere last night.
Viewers were thrown off by a “missing” Jersey Shore cast member as they seemingly uncovered a show mystery in the opening credits.
Season 8 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premiered on Thursday night, and fans – in their droves – were tuning into MTV.
The season marks the 15-year anniversary since the cast first headed to Seaside Heights.
The new season premiere was full to the brim with memorable moments, such as Sammi Sweetheart finally opening up about her history with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.
Also in the episode, Snooki shared an emotional journey to reconnect with her birth mother.
But it was Ronnie’s appearance in the episode that caused a stir – and his lacking appearance in the opening montage, too.
“How come your not in the opener with the other cast members?” asked one fan on X, tagging Ronnie’s account.
“Need you back in the intro!! Must be contract related?” said another.
“Why isn’t Ronnie mentioned in the opening of the show?” asked a third.
A fourth then penned: “The Fans are missing Ronnie in the intro, we had hopes this was the year. The Jersey Shore Bunch (9).”
While a fifth said: “Ronnie in the opening scenes but not the intro credits??”
And a sixth wrote: “How come Ronnie still an outcast in the opening song @sallyannsalsano ?? Why is he still be treated like an outcast? When he was in the whole Episode today.”
Fans were overjoyed to see Ronnie back on their screens, despite him being missing from the opening scene.
“Best part of the season 8 premiere is @RealRonnieMagro in the first episode. Great to hear that infectious laugh and see you happy,” said one person.
While another wrote: “Glad to see you back and well,” as they tagged the reality star on X.

Ronnie speaking in 2022Ronnie joined Jersey Shore in August 2009, but decided to take a break from reality television in 2021.
In 2021, Ronnie took a break from the show to address mental health.
While off of the show, he also became sober, with him being transparent about this with his fans.
He spent eight months away from the show.
After eight months, he returned to Jersey Shore: Family Vacation and made an announcement that he was one year sober.
The reality star spoke to his costar Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino about his journey in an episode that aired in August 2022.
“It’s been a long year,” he said.
“It’s been a lot of just doing the right thing, being a full-time dad, and being sober.
“I’m living the best life I can, one day at a time.”
