Taking to Reddit, one shopper shared a photo of the “delicious” dessert that sells for $21.99. Immediately, fans of the big-box retailer chimed in with their thoughts—and complaints!
“Ah, yes, daily reminder that the Hawaii Costco is next level and we don't get nice things in the States here,” one user groaned.

“If your local Costco doesn't carry this, fear not! I've been making guava cheesecakes with their regular cheesecake for years. Most grocery stores with a Latino/Hispanic section will sell guava paste,” a second user chimed in, offering a recipe.
“It comes in a little plastic wrapper and it's much denser/harder than regular jam. What you will do is dice it up and melt it on medium-low heat with a table spoon or two of water,” they continued. “About half of a block of guava paste is enough for a whole Costco cheesecake. Once melted, spread on top and refrigerate a bit to set.”

A handful of other shoppers noted that they’ve seen the guava cheesecake in certain Florida locations.
If you’re ever visiting Hawaii, you’ll want to try more than just the guava cheesecake! For sweets, look for chocolate-covered macadamia nuts, Hawaiian Hurricane Popcorn, Kauai Kookies, guava chiffon cake, and haupia pie.
If you prefer more savory selections, try the fresh poké, lomi lomi salmon, lau lau, kalua pork, and char siu manapua.
