The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose Friday for the ninth consecutive day, increasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.842.
According to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service, the average price has increased 10.5 cents over the past nine days, including one-tenth of a cent Thursday. It is 6.8 cents more than one week ago, 2.1 cents more than one month ago, and 39 cents lower than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.592 since rising to a record $6.434 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price was unchanged at $3.192 ending a run of four days of increases. It has risen 5.7 cents over the past five days.
The national average price is 4.7 cents more than one week ago, 2.3 cents more than one month ago and 40.8 cents below what is was one year ago. It has dropped $1.824 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
