Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill was extremely animated on the field in the ongoing game against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is hosting the game between the two teams.
Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill had a fantastic outing as a leader in the first innings of the ongoing clash with Mumbai Indians. Almost everything that he touched turned into gold as his team were over the opposition with the ball, restricting them to a low total.
Shubman Gill was spot on with his leadership as he made brilliant bowling changes, and also his field placements were commendable. Not only this, the Gujarat Titans skipper also led from the front as he picked three catches as well to put the Mumbai Indians under pressure.
However, what stole the limelight was his reaction after he took the catch of Tilak Varma in the match. The Mumbai Indians batter got out in the 14th over as Gerald Coetzee removed him to take his first wicket in the game.
Gerald Coetzee bowled a full delivery that was wide of off. It was pushed across the left-hander, and Tilak Varma went chasing on the drive. He didn't get the proper connection as he ended up toe-ending it right down mid-off's throat, where Shubman Gill was stationed, and took an easy catch.
However, as soon as he took the catch, he came up with the gesture of a finger on the lips, silencing the crowd. The video went viral on the internet within seconds.
