Thompson, 26, paid tribute to his “lil sis” after she was named as a victim.

Two people were killed and nine injured in a shooting in Conway, Arkansas.

One victim was named as Tatayana Penister on social media.

And Thompson posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram after learning of the horror.

“You ain’t deserve this s**t,” he said.

“M***s love playing with guns and acting like gangsters but be crash outs and broke.

“My lil sis was sweet, innocent and had her whole life ahead of her.

“I know it ain’t my fault by I can’t help but say ‘I’m sorry.’

“This world ain’t deserve you lil baby.

“Watch over me as I ball out for you.”

Penister was a close friend of Thompson and not a family relation, his agent Chris Turnage told the Daily Mail.

Thompson didn’t play football in the 2024 season after his own near-death experience.

The defensive end was part of the Kansas City Chiefs team which won Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, Nevada last February.

But he suffered a seizure during a team meeting in June and went into a cardiac arrest.

He was sedated and placed on a ventilator as he made a recovery.

But Thompson didn’t play during the 2024 season for the Kansas City Chiefs.

“Almost lost my life at 25, still blessed to see 26,” he wrote on Instagram last month as he celebrated his birthday.

Thompson was born in England, Arkansas and attended high school there.

He was a fifth-round NFL Draft pick by the Chiefs in 2023 out of Stephen F. Austin.

Thompson’s rookie year ended with Super Bowl victory against the San Francisco 49ers.
