YORK COUNTY, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A man lost his life in a shooting early Monday morning, the York County Sheriff's Office reports.
Around 5:37 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, deputies were called to a Circle K in the 200 block of Carowinds Boulevard. Officials say a man was shot behind the gas station and between Circle K and Motel 6.
The man was taken to the hospital but was later pronounced dead. Officials says they are looking for the shooter, but have a good idea who that person is.
The shooting happened near the state line, and YCSO says they are working with law enforcement partners in Charlotte.
