In a cross-genre exchange—something Tim McGraw is no stranger to—the country music icon sent a direct message to Ed Sheeran in the best way possible: by extending a personal invitation.
After McGraw caught wind of some comments the "Shape of You" singer made during a recent podcast sit-down, he shared a remix video responding to what was discussed. "Hey, Ed, we hear you wanted to come see a rodeo. So we're officially inviting you to the Music City Rodeo, so come down and see us," the "Don't Take the Girl" crooner said in the May 22 Instagram upload.

He even cheekily added that they'd send someone to come "drag you to the rodeo if you don't show up."
The gesture came after the English pop star visited Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast, where he was asked about his take on some "very American things, as a Brit"—one being rodeos.
"Yeah, I'm down," Sheeran confirmed during the chat, making it known that he'd be open to immersing himself in the full experience of the sporting event. "You know what I like? Is culture. And I feel like a rodeo is culture."

Sheeran, who hails from the U.K., even said he'd previously asked his promoter about the cowboy-led events in the past, wondering if they "even do tours of rodeos."
"I'd love to just tour rodeos," he admitted.
As for the Music City Rodeo, the highly-anticipated event—which promises a blend of traditional rodeo competitions and live country music performances—will take place in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena from May 29-31, 2025. McGraw is set to headline alongside Reba McEntire and Jelly Roll.
