Halloween has never been this tariff-ying.
Spirit Halloween, the seasonal retailer dedicated to Halloween decor and costumes, issued a statement on May 22 to inform customers about "disruptions" associated with tariffs.
"Our teams have been working around the clock to bring back the ultimate Spirit Halloween experience," the Instagram post began, adding "unfortunately, international disruptions and supply chain challenges have thrown a wrench in our opening plans."
The retailer revealed that as a result, they had to cancel the Egg Harbor Township grand opening event, noting, "but we intend to bring it back next year."
Despite the hiccups, positivity was flowing as Spirit confirmed that it is "still very much alive, with over 1,500 stores on track to open."
"We will begin opening stores in mid-August for another killer season," adding that the "engines are on and we are full-steam ahead."
The note ended with "the best is yet to come," while the post caption confirmed, "Halloween Never Dies ?."
