Navy Federal Credit Union has partnered with Soldiers’ Angels to send more than 28,000 handwritten cards to Veterans across VA hospitals and deployed troops overseas.
Letter-writing stations were active across Navy Federal’s campuses from Jan. 26 – Feb. 7, where team members reporting onsite could quickly complete a Valentine’s Day card. With support from the Navy.
Federal’s branch and remote workers, impact skyrocketed as approximately 20,000 cards were mailed in from remote sites. Many branches completed Valentines for Veterans as a team volunteer activity.
“These simple service projects are a great way to jumpstart momentum with our volunteers early in the year,” said Natasha Johnson, Branch Operations Marketing Liaison and Community Service Champion at Navy Federal. “Valentines for Veterans is an easy, heartfelt way for us to show our members that we care, and card-writing flexibility allows us to engage our entire workforce.”
