DENVER (KDVR) — The Commerce City Police Department took a man suspected of attempted murder into custody while he was finishing up "his last bite of freedom" at a local pizza joint.
According to the police department, Patrick Nieto was taken into custody after multiple felony warrants were issued for his arrest, including an attempted murder charge from October and a domestic violence incident.
The department said license plate technology helped detectives locate Nieto at a strip mall. Police said he was finishing up his pizza when they took him into custody.
"We hope he enjoyed his last bite of freedom because he went straight from dinner to the Adams County Detention Facility."

"If you have a warrant, we're aware of you. Especially if you committed a violent felony that caused harm to someone in our community. We're looking for you. We may not get you today. We may not get you tomorrow. But we're going to get you. And then we're going to talk about you on our social media," the department said on Facebook on Friday.
