When asked by TMZ reporters to give his take on the ceremony, Wonder, 74. replied, "Guess what? I don't follow politics anymore."
"It's too much bulls--t," he added, insisting, "You know what I follow? The truth."

— TMZ (@TMZ) January 22, 2025Wonder's stance on the political climate seems to have changed since he spoke at the Democratic National Convention in August 2024, where he seemed hopeful about the country becoming more "united" than ever.
At the time, the "Superstition" singer told the DNC crowd in Chicago that the choice between the 2024 presidential candidates, Trump and Kamala Harris, was "clear."
"Now is the time to understand where we are and what it will take to win: win the broken hearts, win the disenchanted, win the angry spirits—now is the time," he continued in his impassioned speech. "This is the moment to remember when you tell your children when you tell your children where you were and what you did."
"As we stand between history's pain and tomorrow's promises, we must choose courage over complacency," he added. "It is time to get UP and go vote!"
Obviously, Wonder's preferred candidate didn't win the election, which might be why he has since checked out of the political conversation now that Trump is back in office.
He's apparently opting for "Higher Ground" from now on!
