Big, bold and diplomatically dicey – the Eurovision Song Contest requires some strong personalities to steer its course through a week of semi and grand finals.
Switzerland, known for its political neutrality, plays host this year and has picked comedian Hazel Brugger and former Eurovision entrant Sandra Studer to lead the charge in Basel guiding audiences through the performances and point-scoring.
With one semi-final already complete and another about to get underway, the presenters have already had their first taste of driving the entertainment juggernaut which is Eurovision.
The UK entry Remember Monday will perform their song “What the Hell Just Happened?” in the second semi-final on Thursday night.
However, the journey is not complete until the grand final finds a new winner on Saturday night and the destination for Eurovision 2026 is announced.
