The College Football Playoff national title game between Ohio State and Notre Dame is taking place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Monday night.
Just before kickoff, America the Beautiful and the Star-Spangled Banner were sung for the crowd. However, the sign-language interpreter from the Atlanta-area School for the Deaf stole the show thanks to her incredibly relevant name.
The sign-language interpreter’s name is Johrgia Peaches. If you don’t know, Georgia is a state that is known for peaches. This game is being played in Atlanta, so the name couldn’t be more fitting.
As expected, social media couldn’t believe that was her real name.
I don’t know if Johrgia Peaches was BORN for this moment, but she was damn sure named for it. pic.twitter.com/5UO5INT3XN

On the field, the Fighting Irish and Buckeyes will battle it out to see who is the next national champion. The Irish defeated Indiana, Georgia, and Penn State to get here. The Buckeyes, meanwhile, took down Tennessee, Oregon, and Texas.
The Irish are seeking to claim their first national championship since 1988, while the Buckeyes are looking for their first since 2014. These teams last met in 2023 when the Buckeyes won 17-14. Overall, the Buckeyes have won 6 of the 8 all-time meetings between the teams.
With just over 5 minutes to go in the 1st quarter, the Irish have taken a 7-0 lead over the Buckeyes. The Irish went on an almost 10-minute-long opening drive to put the Buckeyes behind for the first time during the Playoff.
