Christina Aguilera is speaking out in regards to her physical appearance being different from what people are seemingly used to.
On Dec. 31, the powerhouse pop vocalist issued a direct response via Instagram to critics who've taken liberty in pointing out things about her looks, bluntly taking to social media with a direct message.

Alongside a video montage including content of herself rocking various different ensembles and hairstyles over what looked to be the past year, the "Genie in a Bottle" songstress penned a lengthy caption about the judgement she has endured.
"This year, doing something a little different. This is a reminder to everyone that you are your OWN STORYTELLER in your OWN LIFE. No one else can dictate who you are. No one deserves an explanation. I am evolved enough to know that nothing comes easy and no one is perfect," the 44-year-old wrote.

She continued: "Everyone will judge you. No matter WHAT you do. And/ or what you don’t do. Acceptance comes with accepting yourself first. And the difficult journey it takes sometimes to get there. I celebrate everyone taking the time to put one step in front of the next everyday in order to build the next version of themselves for the better. Allowing yourself grace, patience and respect..."
In addition to the note, she drove home her point with the song choice added to the social media upload, which began with Megan Thee Stallion's track, "HISS:" "I just wanna kick this s--t off by sayin' f--k y'all / I ain't gotta clear my name on a motherf----n' thing / Every time I get mentioned, one of y'all b---h-ass [expletive] get twenty-four hours of attention / I'm finna get this s--t off my chest and lay it to rest, let's go."
