While Ryan Reynolds has not yet spoken out directly in response to his wife Blake Lively's recently filed lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni, the actor appears to have made a subtle reference to the turmoil their family has been facing ever since the summer, when what she alleges was a carefully crafted smear campaign against her kicked off.
Over the weekend, news broke that Lively is suing Baldoni over claims that he orchestrated the public blowout against her to "destroy" her reputation in retaliation over a list of demands that Lively provided to combat a "hostile work environment" that allegedly included sexual harassment.

On Monday, Dec. 23, Reynolds appeared to hint toward the stress caused by the entire situation when he took to his Instagram Story for one final push to garner donations for Sick Kids before Christmas.
This year, he donned his Deadpool suit once again for a special advertisement, featuring his 8-year-old daughter Inez as Kidpool and a special appearance from Lynda Carter, to encourage fans to donate to the organization to "eliminate sick kids"—i.e., "eliminating the sickness" in kids.
While shouting out the duo, along with director Bryan Rowland, Reynolds admitted that they shot the "amazing little piece during a time [he] really didn’t feel like putting the suit on." Given the timing of it all, it seems like it could be a cryptic reference to the impact the It Ends With Us controversy has had on their family.
The Marvel star is a longtime supporter of the charity organization supporting The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and he and his wife plan on matching donations made before midnight on Christmas Eve up to $500,000.
