Sage Ryan is a veteran contributor who entered the transfer portal after a game-changing career in the LSU secondary. Now, he’s reportedly on the move and sticking within the SEC.
According to Hayes Fawcett with On3 Sports, Ryan is on his way to Ole Miss to join Lane Kiffin and the Rebels. Ryan will have one season of eligibility left after appearing in 39 games for LSU across the past 3 seasons.

He had a particularly impressive nose for the football with 3 forced fumbles, finishing as 1 of 10 SEC players with at least 3 forced fumbles in the 2024 season.
Ryan’s complete 2024 numbers also included 42 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, an interception and 5 pass breakups. Across the past 2 seasons, Ryan was particularly impressive with a combined 84 tackles, 7 TFL, a pick, 10 pass breakups and 3 forced fumbles. For his career, Ryan has 113 total tackles, 13 pass breakups and 5 forced fumbles.
Upon entering the portal, Ryan received a 3-star transfer rating from 247 Sports. And once again, Ole Miss is racking up the portal additions under Kiffin.
Ryan becomes the 14th player to commit to the Rebels in the transfer recruiting class. That group was ranked the No. 2 transfer class in the country per 247 Sports as of Friday.
