A member of the Industry Committee at the House of Representatives, Essam Diab, on Wednesday submitted a request for a briefing to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hanfy Gebaly, addressed to the government, to ban the TikTok platform in Egypt. He stressed that TikTok is widely-seen as a corrupting influence on society, and has caused the spread of immorality and obscenity among youth.
