Prediction & Picks: Suns vs. Warriors

The highly anticipated matchup between the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors is just around the corner, and basketball fans are buzzing with excitement. As we analyze both teams' performances this season, it becomes evident that the Suns have what it takes to emerge victorious.

Firstly, let's consider their recent form. The Suns have been on fire, displaying exceptional teamwork and consistency on both ends of the court. Led by their dynamic duo of Chris Paul and Devin Booker, they have proven time and again that they can handle pressure situations with ease. Their ability to execute plays flawlessly gives them a significant advantage over their opponents

let's talk about their recent performance. The Suns have been on a remarkable winning streak, showcasing their exceptional teamwork and consistency. Led by their star player Chris Paul, they have displayed an impressive level of skill and determination. On the other hand, while the Warriors have had some notable victories, they have also shown inconsistency in their gameplay.

Despite a limited number of available assets, Suns’ general manager James Jones was able to pull some strings and improve the roster. Yes, improve.

I know, I know. Some of you have emotional connections to the fringe guys. You put your line in the sand this past summer and said, “Yuta Watanabe is MY guy! He’s what will push this team over the top!”. I get it. Let it go, man. He was here for six months and played in 29 games.

There was plenty of hype this past July as free agency began. The Suns, who had recently acquired Bradley Beal to pair with Devin Booker and Kevin Durant, didn’t have many bullets in the chamber. The majority of the acquisitions that they made were out of necessity. But the players that they brought in were young, athletic, “prove it” type of players.

“We’re improving and we have areas for improvement,” Jones said.

For Jones, those areas of improvement mostly center around balance.

“For us, we have to protect the ball and rebound better. We have elite shot making and in this league shot making wins,” he said.

“We’re pretty good when we get the right number of shots, paint attacks, three point attacks, midrange. When we have good balance we’re pretty good.”

The Phoenix Suns have been getting better over the last few weeks, and they’re running into a Warriors team they’ve beaten in 7 of the last 8 meetings. They should be favored. However, the Golden State Warriors are coming off some nice wins this week, and they need to keep winning if they’re going to sneak into the playoff race. We know the Warriors are capable of rising to the occasion, especially at home. The status of Booker and Thompson are key, so check before locking in anything. Still, I’ll lean toward the Warriors at home in this spot.
