Who are Patchwork? Glastonbury 2024 mystery act finally confirmed in Pyramid Stage performance

This year's edition of Glastonbury Festival has already provided its fair share of talking points – but one topic in particular has been dominating the conversation: who exactly is Patchwork?

While most of the acts playing on the iconic Pyramid Stage – including Neil Young, The 1975 and Olivia Rodrigo – will have been instantly familiar to fans, an unheard-of band called Patchwork have been scheduled in a prime slot on Saturday at 6:15pm.

Naturally, it didn't take long for everyone to clock that this will be one of the festival's famous mystery sets. A similarly unheard-of band called The Churnups listed for the Pyramid Stage in 2023 turned out to be the Foo Fighters, while other acts, including Pulp, Kasabian, Jack White and The Killers, have previously performed secret sets in the past.

There had been a lot of rumours around who this mystery act could be, with everyone from Haim to Harry Styles having previously been linked by those searching for clues. However, now the answer has finally been revealed. Read on for all the latest theories about the mystery Glastonbury 2025 act.

Patchwork was finally confirmed to be the British rock band Pulp.

The British rock band, fronted by Jarvis Cocker, are icons of the 1990s Britpop movement and released their eighth studio album, their first in 24 years, earlier this month, titled More.

More went straight to number one in the UK Album Charts and has been met with critical acclaim.

On returning to a creative space with the rest of the band, Cocker told NME earlier this month: "As soon as we tried it, it was surprisingly easy. When you play music with other people, you build up a weird and intimate relationship, but you’re not really saying owt to each other. You become an organism with no one really in control of it. That’s a nice feeling. You produce something that you wouldn’t be capable of doing on your own."
