“My family hasn't seen it yet, but they will soon. No one in my family has seen it yet,” Esther exclusively tells Parade.
Zada, 20, adds: “My whole family adored it. My little sister, she had the funniest reaction to the end, and she was on set! And then I have a little brother who's 9 years old. He was watching, and he couldn't see me. He was like, 'You're not American!' Everyone loved it in my fam. My mom said it was hard to watch.”
The duo also reflected on the highs and lows of filming the highly anticipated series, which premieres on Prime Video on Wednesday, June 18.
“I complained a lot! That's a great way to say, 'Oh my God, it's so cold!’” Esther says of filming the show’s water scenes, to which Zada chimes in: “We had these little heat tents you could run into, and you really bond in those things because you've got heaters, and everyone's all bundled up around each other…”
“…Shivering,” Esther adds. “The coldest day I think on set was a scene when there was a storm and wetness, and it was freezing that day. I couldn't speak when I was walking back to the car.”
We Were Liars premieres on Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday, June 18.
