Bills could hurt 8th District residents

Congressman Gabe Evans voted for the “Big Beautiful Bill” last week in Washington, D.C. He did so knowing full well that if this bill becomes law, it will likely put more than 1,000 U.S. manufacturing jobs in the 8th District out on unemployment. That’s because Vestas, a wind turbine company that operates factories in Windsor and Brighton, will see its U.S. market for wind turbines shrink dramatically. Gabe Evans voted for throwing more than 1,000 workers in the 8th District out of work. Think about that.

Moreover, Evans’ vote to sharply reduce Medicaid eligibility and increase the paperwork for continued eligibility will lead to 8th District residents losing their access to affordable health care. Some 29% of the population in the 8th District is eligible for Medicaid. Gabe Evans voted for a bill that will lead to less healthcare among the people he purportedly represents and cares about.

Let Gabe Evans know (303-225-5625) that he shouldn’t vote to throw factory workers out of their jobs, nor take away affordable health care. The 8th District deserves better.

    130 days of Musk

The economic and social waves that came ashore in the last few months now ebbs back out to sea. During his 130 days, the South African was shaking down the U.S. as the pasty for DOGE. The overall impact to Tesla, is more reputational than economical. His idol artificially supports his wounded companies. The last three failures of SpaceX suggest that insiders are sabotaging their own company, or others did not agree with his volunteerism to rip the U.S. government apart.
