Fans Cant Get Over Parks and Recreation Stars Drastic New Look

Fans have a lot to say about former Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt's drastic new look.

On June 6, Pratt uploaded a brief clip of him on set for the upcoming second season of the Amazon Prime series, The Terminal List, on his Instagram account, as reported by Page Six. While eating lunch, Pratt, who portrays Lieutenant Commander James Reece, showed off his long unkempt hair and sizable beard. He also let his fans know that his exaggerated beard and hair weren't real.

Several fans took to the post's comments section to share their thoughts about Pratt's look for the series. Quite a few social media users wrote they believed Pratt looked completely different.

"Bro, I did not recognize you until you said who you were," commented a fan.

"Honestly didn’t recognize you at first? stoked for your next film??," added another.

Several fans also shared they thought Pratt with his longer hair and beard looked like Tom Hanks' character, Chuck Noland, from the 2000 film Cast Away. In addition, a different commenter stated they believed he bore a strong resemblance to singer Kris Kristofferson, writing, "Nice to see that 1973 Kris Kristofferson is still getting work." Meanwhile, another Instagram user shared they thought Pratt and Bigfoot had a similar look.

"Thought this was a Bigfoot vlog," commented the social media user.

Pratt also received some compliments for his new look. For instance, one commenter shared they believed Pratt, who is usually clean-shaven, was rocking the facial hair.

"Bro still looks majestic with all the scruffy beard and hair," wrote a fan.

As fans of Parks and Recreation are aware, Pratt played Andy Dwyer throughout the show's seven-season run. He then pivoted his career after he began playing the Marvel character Star-Lord, also known as Peter Quill, in the 2014 film Guardians of the Galaxy. During a March 2019 interview with Access Hollywood, Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman said he wasn't surprised that Pratt was cast as a superhero.

"He's funny. He's smart. He's so sweet and so talented. And he's built like an NFL linebacker," said Offerman during the interview.
