Watch: Virat Kohli goes full fanboy over Rajat Patidar during RCB celebrations

Virat Kohli is known for his fiery energy on the field, but he looked unusually calm during Royal Challengers Bengaluru's IPL 2025 victory celebration at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4. The reason behind his toned-down demeanor was clearly a horrifying tragedy outside the stadium.

Only hours before, a deadly stampede had claimed 11 lives and left over 50 persons injured as thousands of fans gathered to witness the RCB’s maiden title celebrations in Bengaluru. However, the emotions were still running high inside the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Fans cheered passionately as Kohli’s presence was enough to ignite a wave of excitement despite the heartbreaking incident outside the stadium. Well, the former Indian captain didn’t display his usual animated style; Kohli still managed to strike a powerful chord with the crowd.

He delivered a heartfelt message after the franchise ended years of heartbreak for RCB supporters. The crowd erupted in emotional roars as Kohli echoed the team's iconic slogan during RCB’s victory celebration.

It's no more ee sala cup namde; it's ee sala cup namdu. It's for all of you—the fans, the people of this wonderful city, and the people who've supported RCB through thick and thin. I've never seen any fanbase of any team in the world like this franchise.”
