Josh Inglis, on Sunday (June 1), took Jasprit Bumrah to the cleaners during the IPL 2025 Qualifier 2 between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Set a target of 204 runs, Punjab Kings were off to a shaky start as their in-form opener Prabhsimran Singh was dismissed cheaply in the third over.
On the first ball of the third over bowled by Trent Boult, Reece Topley took a brilliant catch at short fine leg to send Prabhsimran and give Mumbai Indians the crucial breakthrough.
However, the advantage did not last long as Josh Inglis put the Punjab Kings in a strong position by attacking Jasprit Bumrah, arguably the best pacer in the world at present.
The Mumbai Indians pace spearhead was introduced into the attack in the 5th over and Inglis decided to take him on straightaway. The Australia star smashed Jasprit Bumrah for 20 runs to shift the momentum to his team's side.
