As for your Thursday, mostly cloudy skies this morning will give way to scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, along with highs that should be slightly warmer, with temperatures pushing into the upper 70s. While some thunderstorms are possible later today, we do not anticipate significant severe weather.
That is not the case for Friday, though, as a cold front will be sweeping through the region with a line of strong thunderstorms expected during the afternoon. Within the line of storms, some severe weather is expected, with the primary concern being strong and damaging winds, along with an isolated tornado possible.
Highs on Friday should be around the 80-degree mark as well. Behind the front, slightly cooler and less humid conditions are expected for Saturday, though some afternoon showers are possible. Sunday looks dry with similar highs in the upper 70s.
