The savings come from changes to the retail giant’s membership program, including a brand-new benefit.

Target shoppers will see new savings this month thanks to a program updateReuters

Target notably offers Circle 360, a subscription service with several perks and benefits, for $99 annually or $10.99 per month.

It’s similar to paid subscriptions at competing chains like Walmart, which notably offers Walmart+ for around the same price.

Those who pay for Circle 360 get exclusive deals, free two-day shipping, unlimited same-day delivery on orders over $35 to multiple addresses, and no-rush returns with a 30-day extension to the typical 90-day window, among other perks.

There’s also the basic Target Circle membership, which is free and has perks like a 5% off birthday gift and automatic discount offerings.

Circle 360 still offers more, with one of the top benefits being access to the Shipt Marketplace.

It allows members to get same-day orders from a variety of retailers like Walgreens, CVS, Lowe’s, and even beauty retailers like Sephora.

In the past, they had to still had to pay a bit more to get the same-day shipping through the Shipt Marketplace, but that’s now changed.

As of May 19, Target is “removing same-day delivery price markups from over 100 beloved retailers and grocers,” per a news release.

“While same-day delivery from Target has always been free from price markups, this new benefit makes same-day delivery from many more locations even easier and more affordable.”

Target said the removal of the markups effectively gives Circle 360 members access to a “digital shopping center” with easy access to “everything they need” without any additional price fluctuation.

Data collected by the retailer also showed that perks like same-day delivery from Target and other stores can save members about seven hours per month or $300 per year on average.

It helps them “get back to what matters most,” per the release.

    UNIQUE EXPERIENCE

Cara Sylvester, executive vice president and chief guest experience officer at Target, emphasized the efficiency, ease, and affordability that the lack of markups through the Shipt Marketplace would offer customers.

“From the start, Target Circle 360 has been about building strong relationships with our guests and growing with them to deliver more value and ease,” Sylvester said in a statement.

    What is Target Circle 360?

In April, Target launched its first-ever paid membership program, Target Circle 360.

For $99 a year, members get access to the following perks:

“We’ve never charged markups on same-day delivery from Target, and now Target Circle 360 members can exclusively enjoy this no-markup benefit from more than 100 retailers and grocers across Shipt’s network too.”

“We’ve built a true digital shopping center experience — making your Saturday errand run easier, faster, and more affordable,” Sylvester added.

“Target and Shipt are shaping a one-of-a-kind, dynamic retail ecosystem that lifts up our retail partners while helping members save.”

Target is also offering an added opportunity for shoppers who are new to Circle 360.

Those who sign up this month can get $20 off their first order of $75 using the same-day delivery perk.

Other Target Circle 360 benefits that are relatively recent include “freebies,” which allow members to select every month whether they want a free item from a list of options or money toward their next purchase.
