Patrick Dempsey has been spotted showing support for his home state, and his fans are going ga ga.
The Grey's Anatomy alum is on hand for the Portland Hearts of Pine's second home game of the season at Fitzpatrick Stadium. McDreamy's participation in the team's return home may have given them the boost they needed because the brand-new team celebrated their first league win.
After a hard-fought game, local CBS affiliate WGME reported that the Hearts of Pine were victorious with a score of 2-1 over FC Naples, who were ranked third before the loss.
Dempsey, who wore a long-sleeved white shirt covered in hearts with "Maine" across the chest, was spotted in the stands during the game as he cheered on the home team.
He wasn't just there to support, though. He took part in the pre-game coin toss and, as seen in the Instagram post below, helped get fans pumped up as the game played out and enjoyed oysters in the field as part of the festivities.

One commenter wrote about Dempsey, "Maine’s finest bringing the heat and the heart! ❤️?"
Others also showed him some love, with one writing, "Patrick is always in our hearts," and another calling him "A Prince of Maine."
