Actress Angelina Jolie, 49, has changed up her hair!
While posing at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival to mark the premiere of the film Eddington on May 16, Jolie showed off her much lighter locks. Instead of her usual brunette 'do, Jolie opted for honey-colored hair, which she wore in a side-part. The chic star's hair looked effortless and elegant, with darker roots peeking through and multidimensional light blond highlights.
For the event, Jolie wore a strapless shimmering off-white gown from Brunello Cucinelli. She accessorized the look with a statement necklace and matching earrings.
A video of Jolie posing at the Cannes Film Festival was uploaded to Vogue's official Instagram account. Several fans flocked to the post's comments section to compliment Jolie.
"Always flawless, true Hollywood diva❤️?," wrote a fan.
"The most beautiful and I love her ‘blondeness’, it’s so softening on her ?," added another.
"She is truly stunning," shared a different person.
Some commenters, however, expressed their disappointment with her lightened hair.
"She is so gorgeous I only wish she would go back to her brown hair it suits her better," wrote a commenter.
"She is beautiful but dark hair is better suited on her, it highlights her stunning face. The light hair is pretty but it washes her out," commented another.
Jolie began her career in Hollywood over three decades ago. While speaking to W Magazine in January 2025, Jolie, whose father is actor Jon Voight, said her late mother, Marcia Lynne "Marcheline" Bertrand, encouraged her to pursue acting at a young age. She said that Bertrand wanted to be an actress, but decided to focus on her children when she was 25 years old.
"I don't remember making the choice to become an actress. I remember it made my mom happy. And I started to help pay bills and things like that when I was young. My mom was my manager and we were a team," said Jolie during the W Magazine interview.
She also said she had difficulty continuing acting when her mother died in 2007.
"I realized how much it was for her," said Jolie to the publication.
