(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- A slow-moving area of low pressure to the west will continue to head north toward the Ohio Valley. It's been the big cloud and rainmaker since over the weekend, along with the washout we experienced Monday.
Waves of heavier, steady rain over the mountains and foothills overnight Monday could lead to more flooding, so stay weather aware; a Flood Watch remains in effect through morning. A couple thunderstorms can't be ruled out as well.

Tuesday won't be quite as rainy, but will still involve some scattered showers and storms from morning through evening. Breaks of sun will give us highs near 80, but also help lead to the possibility of a severe storm or two. Strong wind gusts and/or hail would be the main threats.
Wednesday brings more of the same. Thursday is when we flip the switch to a high-pressure setup, bringing overall drier conditions, but hotter weather, too! Highs will reach the mid and upper 80s, and the first 90-degree day of the year for Charlotte could happen on Friday.
It may not stay completely dry, though – chances of spotty showers and storms will be around each day.
Tonight: Areas of rain, thunderstorms. Low 64.
Tuesday: Scattered showers and storms. High 79.
