Greg Norman and fans of the Australian golf legend are breathing a sigh of relief after his private jet experienced a frightening equipment failure during a recent flight.
Norman, known by the nickname the Shark, shared details of the episode on Instagram on May 9 with a carousel of photos and a caption.

“Inflight LAX - PBI loud pop = shattered windscreen. Only the second time in 40yrs of private travel. Returned to LAX to the professionals to make sure all ok. Thanks all,” he wrote.
The carousel shows photos of the broken windshield on the private jet as well as fire crews on the runway at Los Angeles International Airport.
Fans of the 70-year-old World Golf Hall of Famer shared their relief in the comments on Instagram.

“Holy cow…glad everyone is okay. Payne Stewart flashback. ?,” referencing the 1999 Learjet crash that killed another golf legend at the age of 42.
“WOW, very scary! Glad everything is ok,” another posted.
“Those pilots were absolutely amazing to get you down on the ground safely! Great job to those two pilots for reacting quickly. You’re lucky you weren’t the next Payne Stewart,” yet another added.
Norman, who is CEO of his own namesake company that deals in apparel, interior design, real estate, golf course design and other interests, also served as CEO of the controversial LIV Golf Investments, the rival golf league to the PGA that’s funded by Saudi Arabia.
