Raise a glass of Kool-Aid because The Studio is coming back! The hit Apple TV+ comedy series, which debuted in March of 2025, has been renewed for a second season. The renewal announcement came two weeks before the Season 1 finale.
“We're thrilled to be making a second season of ‘The Studio.’ We're looking forward to taking the lived experience of making season one and immediately putting it into season two, then repeating that loop for ten more seasons,” creators and executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg said in a joint statement. “And, we’re excited to keep all our industry friends and colleagues guessing as to when one of their personal stories will stream on Apple TV+.”

Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, added, “Seth, Evan, the entire creative team and cast of ‘The Studio’ have knocked it out of the park with this brilliant show, and it has been incredible to watch the conversation grow with each new episode.”
“We can’t wait to see where Matt Remick takes Continental Studios in season two, and hope for his sake that the ‘Kool-Aid’ movie crushes at the box office," Cherniss continued.
Before we return to the studio lot, here is everything we know about Season 2 of The Studio.

Given the fact that The Studio has only recently been renewed, we're not sure when Season 2 will come out. Depending on the filming schedule, we may see it as soon as the spring or summer of 2026. Or, depending on what's on the docket for Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and company, it may not be until 2027 that we'll check back in on Continental.
When is the Season 1 finale of The Studio?
The Season 1 finale will air on Wednesday, May 21.
The show's star-studded ensemble cast includes Rogen as Matt Remick, Catherine O’Hara as Patty Leigh, Kathryn Hahn as Maya Mason, Ike Barinholtz as Sal Saperstein, Chase Sui Wonders as Quinn Hackett, Dewayne Perkins as Tyler and Bryan Cranston as Griffin Mill.
Who guest-starred in Season 1 of The Studio?
The first season featured an impressive roster of guest stars that included: Aaron Sorkin, Adam Scott, Anthony Mackie, Antony Starr, Arthur Keng, Bill Watterson, Bryan Cranston, Charli D’Amelio, Charlize Theron, Chris Gann, Courtney Pauroso, Dan Black, Dave Franco, David Krumholtz, Derek Wilson, Devon Bostick, Dewayne Perkins, Erin Moriarty, Greta Lee, Ice Cube, Jean Smart, Jen Statsky, Jessica Clements, Jessica St. Clair, Johnny Knoxville, Josh Hutcherson, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Kit Hoover, Larry Brown, Lil Rel Howery, Lisa Gilroy, Lucia Aniello, Martin Scorsese, Matt Belloni, Nicholas Stoller, Olivia Wilde, Owen Kline, Parker Finn, Paul Dano, Paul W. Ahead of the show's debut, Rogen told Parade that he wanted to make cameo roles that were "good" like any other part. "I think when we made This Is the End, we were able to just kind of call in favors and wrote people in and convince them to come because it would be fun. There was kind of like a novelty to it. But that novelty has long expired when it comes to working with us, I think," he said. "We really had to work hard on just making roles that we thought people would be excited to do, and that they thought were funny, and that they would be proud of after the fact."

The list of guest stars for The Studio Season 2 has yet to be released. But given all the star power they were able to bring in for Season 1, it wouldn't be surprising to see more A-list talent interact with Continental Studios.
What is The Studio about?
The Studio, created by Peter Huyck and AlexGregory, along with Rogen, Goldberg and Frida Perez, centers around studio head Matt Remick and his team at Continental Studios.
"As movies struggle to stay alive and relevant, Matt and his core team of infighting executives battle their insecurities as they wrangle narcissistic artists and craven corporate overlords in the ever-elusive pursuit of making great films," the show's logline reads. "With their power suits masking their never-ending sense of panic, every party, set visit, casting decision, marketing meeting and award show presents them with an opportunity for glittering success or career-ending catastrophe. As someone who eats, sleeps and breathes movies, it’s the job Matt’s been pursuing his whole life, and it may very well destroy him."
How to watch The Studio?
