Driver arrested in fatal Capitol Hill scooter crash

A 35-year-old man was arrested Monday on suspicion of vehicular homicide after Denver police say he struck and killed a woman riding a stand-up electric scooter in Capitol Hill.

Investigators say Kedrick Feldon was driving while believed to be impaired when he hit a woman in the 700 block of East Colfax Avenue on Sunday night.

    The woman was trying to merge into eastbound traffic when Feldon hit her, the Denver Police Department said in a news release Monday. She was unresponsive when police arrived and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

    Feldon remained at the scene after the crash. Police officials did not say why they suspect he was impaired at the time.
