Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children made a rare appearance together on May 5. The family attended the commemorations for the 80th anniversary of VE Day at Buckingham Palace in London on May 5.
In photos, the Princess of Wales was seated to the left with Princess Charlotte, 10, Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, 7, in the next three seats with Prince William on the right side.

The whole family walked together as they observed the parade prior to finding their seats. Both boys were in suits with ties and Princess Charlotte wore a dress with a black coat over top.
Other royal family members, including Prince Edward, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward were also in attendance.
The royal family will be on-hand to watch the Royal Air Force planes from the palace balcony. Then, King Charles will host a tea party for surviving VE Day heroes and their families. The Cambridge children will not be attended the tea party, but their parents are expected to attend.
May 5 marked a rare outing for the Cambridges, who rarely make public appearances as a family. When the children were young, William and Kate decided that they wanted to afford their kids a more private life, despite their positions within the royal family. While William and Kate share pictures of their brood from time to time, it's fairly rare that the whole family steps out together.
"The Prince and Princess of Wales though have done everything they can to insulate their children from the pressures of their future so they can enjoy a normal childhood," a source told Entertainment Tonight in September 2023.
